About Us

Patrick and Brian both grew up in the restaurant and bar industry—Patrick in New York and Brian in Rhode Island. In 2007, their paths collided behind the bar at Salt Creek Grille in El Segundo, where they quickly became best friends and promised each other that one day they would open a spot of their own.

That promise came to life when they acquired O’Hearn’s on Aviation. They remodeled, rebranded, and in 2017 opened Paddy O’Brien’s Irish Pub, which has been thriving ever since. From there, the momentum only grew. Over the last six years—pandemic and all—Patrick and Brian have been part of seven more acquisitions and rebrands across the South Bay.

Their mission is simple: keep the local bar and restaurant scene awesome. Whether it’s breathing new life into a tired old dive, saving a 55-year-old diner from demolition, or creating a tiki escape unlike anything else within 25 miles, Patrick and Brian are dedicated to crafting gathering places that bring people together.

They’re also committed to staying ahead of industry trends. By taking part in one of the top restaurant masterminds in the country, attending national conferences and trade shows, and connecting with leading operators, they keep South Bay Hospitality Group at the forefront of hospitality innovation.

Today, South Bay Hospitality Group proudly owns and operates:

  • Eat at Joe’s

  • The Hula Hula Room

  • Paddy O’Brien’s Irish Pub

  • The Bounty Room

  • The Sportsman Bar

  • The Sly Fox Irish Pub

And they’re just getting started—with big things in the works for 73 Pier.
